Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and inspiration to the team, ensuring they reach their full potential each day and fostering an environment where colleagues can excel.
  • As Deputy store manager, lead and motivate your team in alignment with our Leadership & Company Principles.
  • Cultivate a conducive work environment that enables colleagues to deliver their best work.
  • Maintain a high standard of customer service throughout the store and serve as the main point of contact for customer inquiries.
  • The deputy store manager would oversee and manage deliveries, supervise the checkout area, and monitor store performance.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and company health and safety regulations, standards, and guidelines to meet store performance goals.
  • Take independent charge of the store in the absence of the Store Manager.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in leading and developing teams in a fast-paced setting, ideally a previous role as a deputy store manager.
  • Proficiency in time management, delegation, and problem-solving.
  • Strong customer focus and exceptional communication skills to provide constructive feedback to colleagues for their personal development and store improvement.
  • Enthusiasm and motivation to support and inspire the team during each shift.
  • Determination to complete tasks within specified timelines, achieve store targets, and maximize productivity.
  • Previous experience in monitoring, managing, and enhancing key performance indicators.
  • Experience within a food or retail outlet.
