A brilliant opportunity for a Sustainability Manager to join an international business experiencing rapid growth based in the South London area.

As part of their ongoing commitment to sustainability, they are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sustainability Manager to join the team. This is a newly created role within the business so it’s a great time to come onboard as you will have full control of the function!

This company has been operating and working with many international and global FMCG businesses for years now and continue to grow YOY. They also work in partnership with one of the largest consumer goods businesses ever to exist!

Position Overview:

As the Sustainability Manager, you will play a key role in developing, implementing, and managing sustainable initiatives across our organization. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to integrate environmentally and socially responsible practices into our day-to-day operations. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of sustainability principles, strong project management skills, and the ability to drive change within an organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategy Development – Develop and implement a comprehensive sustainability strategy aligned with the company’s overall goals and objectives. Identify and prioritize key sustainability initiatives, considering environmental, social, and economic factors.

• Research and Analysis – Stay abreast of relevant environmental regulations and industry best practices to ensure compliance. Prepare and submit sustainability reports, tracking progress against goals and targets. Conduct in-depth research and understand the activities of the business and its customers in relation to sustainability. Through research spot opportunities to improve the sustainability of the company.

• Implementation – Lead in the executive of sustainability strategies across the wider business to ensure sustainability goals are met.

• Training – Develop and deliver training programs to raise awareness and build a culture of sustainability among employees. Foster employee engagement in sustainability initiatives, encouraging innovative ideas and participation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Business, or related field. Master’s degree is a plus.

• Strong understanding of sustainability principles, environmental regulations, and industry trends.

• Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

£55,000 + bonus and benefits.
