Preferred location: London (but this is not a deal breaker)
The role:

  • We love data and there is scope for an adept and tech-savy operational finance employee to design and manage processes around trade payments
  • As a key member of the rapidly expanding finance team, you will be working very closely with the supply chain team to independently manage the full process from PO raising, supplier, shipping and warehousing payments to import VAT obligations, as well as accurate accounting thereof.
  • The role will also comprise monthly management account tasks including some elements of the following:
    • creating and evolving a robust Trade Payables cycle ensuring all payments are made on a timely basis and stock control and flow is optimised.
    • creating intercompany transfers.
    • balance sheet reconciliations & cash analysis.
    • creation of import templates for our accounting software.

 Job requirements

  • Accounting related undergraduate degree with very strong English skills (written and spoken) or training in an international accounting firm and /or experience in an in-house finance department with focus on supply chain
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles especially around cost of goods sold recognition and processes such as PO creation through to bank reconciliations.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel including v lookup and pivot tables in order to analyse data exported from different systems.
  • Organised with good attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, effectively and appropriately with colleagues at all levels.
  • Willing to adapt and pick up new techniques and technologies.
  • Able to prioritise and multi task in a fast paced environment.
  • Cleared to work in your country of residence.
  • Experience with NetSuite and / or in a fast moving e-commerce or retail business, with significant Cost of Goods Sold processes would be beneficial.
