A fantastic opportunity for an Indirects Procurement Professional to join my client for a 9 month maternity cover contract a well established food FMCG business based in the Northampton area.
As the Sourcing Manager you’ll be responsible for working with the business stakeholders on company expenditure, working capital and supplier performance as well as leading and managing the procurement team of 5 people to add value through strategic sourcing and business partnering.
Your responsibilities will include;
- Driving strategic business objectives
- Category responsibility of indirect spend of £100 million across Logistics/Manufacturing and Commercial
- Accountable for sourcing, implementing and managing the spend of governance of suppliers and categories
- End to end involvement in supplier relationship management for strategic suppliers
- Lead the Procurement function activities and projects as required
The ideal candidate will have the following;
- Graduate calibre or equivalent working experience
- Proven experience managing significant indirect procurement categories
- Strong leadership and management experience
- Excellent negotiation, communication and influencing skills
- Experience in policy setting, project management and understanding of contract law
