Are you a Demand Planner who’s looking for that next step up into a Senior/Management role? There’s an exciting opportunity to take ownership of this business’ International demand templates.
Where do I start? This business is one of the biggest success stories to come out of the UK drinks market in recent years. They are ambitious and ooze class, “spiritually”, they’re the real deal. And it’s not just in the UK that they thrive, they are constantly growing internationally – They’re looking for a candidate with an entrepreneurial “spirit” too.
In a nutshell, Ron Burgundy would describe the company “as kind of a big deal”.
Your New Role
You’ll be responsible for working closely with the commercial team to create accurate demand forecasts across their entire customer market.
The majority of the role will be focused on Demand Planning. However, you will also be working closely with the commercial team to update forecasts based on promotions, seasonal changes and NPD launches, as well as building new demand templates for the Global markets
You may be able to add a few more points as to why you’d be good for the role at this stage.
If I were to ask you to write reasons why you’d be good for the role then you’d have down something similar to this:
- Demand planning experience in the FMCG industry (drinks industry gets you 10 extra points).
- You’ve been in team leader / supervisor / management roles.
- Doesn’t shy away from creating forecasts on Excel.
- Have experience forecasting for the International markets, merci beaucoup!
- Enjoys analysing data and reporting to various stakeholders.
We do, however, forget a million other reasons why we’re good at what we do. There will be other traits you have which I know are right for the role too, so please feel free to not reply.
What Success Looks
You’ll pass your probationary period, that’ll be a good start. But other than that, you’ll be agile and show entrepreneurial spirit to grow with the business and see a team of demand planners growing around you.
Another bonus would be to see your forecasts coming in accurately and receiving positive feedback from customers and account managers. It also means you’ll hit your targets which does 0 harm to your yearly bonus. You’ll also have full control of the forecasts with regular updates as the business take control of the Global market. The other side of it would be to develop and grow your team beneath you.
I’m ready for that list when you are.
