Position Overview

Seeking a highly motivated Compliance Specialist to join a drinks business based in London. This is a great opportunity for a Compliance Specialist with experience in label development, compliance management and regulatory affairs.
 
Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee label development and compliance reviews, primarily focusing on flavour extensions and label change management projects within the EU.
  • Coordinate with in-house marketing and graphics teams to develop product graphics and labelling.
  • Manage third-party labelling approvals for EU projects.
  • Work with local marketing teams to translate legal and marketing copy for labels.
  • Assist in proofreading and reviewing label proofs.
  • Stay informed about regulatory changes and interpretations in food and dietary supplements, ensuring product compliance.
  • Maintain and update the internal Regulatory department database with product and labelling information.
  • Provide technical product details (e.g. allergens, vegan status, added sugar) as needed.
  • Serve as a local extension of the corporate regulatory team, collaborating with US-based teams and local bottlers during innovation adaptation.
  • Address non-project-related regulatory inquiries as required.

 
Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or related field.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in domestic and international regulatory affairs and quality assurance.
  • Background in food, dietary supplements, or beverages required.
  • Strong expertise in food and beverage labelling and compliance.
  • Experience with international product/raw material registration and quality documentation.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong review skills.
  • Able to work cross-functionally with both internal teams and external partners.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Experience with graphic design teams and label development is a plus.
  • Additional language skills and international experience are beneficial.
  • Organised, detail-oriented, and able to work independently and in teams.
  • Creative, result-driven, and able to multi-task.
  • Focused on process improvement and efficiency.
