Position Overview
Seeking a highly motivated Compliance Specialist to join a drinks business based in London. This is a great opportunity for a Compliance Specialist with experience in label development, compliance management and regulatory affairs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee label development and compliance reviews, primarily focusing on flavour extensions and label change management projects within the EU.
- Coordinate with in-house marketing and graphics teams to develop product graphics and labelling.
- Manage third-party labelling approvals for EU projects.
- Work with local marketing teams to translate legal and marketing copy for labels.
- Assist in proofreading and reviewing label proofs.
- Stay informed about regulatory changes and interpretations in food and dietary supplements, ensuring product compliance.
- Maintain and update the internal Regulatory department database with product and labelling information.
- Provide technical product details (e.g. allergens, vegan status, added sugar) as needed.
- Serve as a local extension of the corporate regulatory team, collaborating with US-based teams and local bottlers during innovation adaptation.
- Address non-project-related regulatory inquiries as required.
Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or related field.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in domestic and international regulatory affairs and quality assurance.
- Background in food, dietary supplements, or beverages required.
- Strong expertise in food and beverage labelling and compliance.
- Experience with international product/raw material registration and quality documentation.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong review skills.
- Able to work cross-functionally with both internal teams and external partners.
- Strong project management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Experience with graphic design teams and label development is a plus.
- Additional language skills and international experience are beneficial.
- Organised, detail-oriented, and able to work independently and in teams.
- Creative, result-driven, and able to multi-task.
- Focused on process improvement and efficiency.
