LNCD is an exciting and incredibly fast moving business and has stretching plans for growth, through both its branded business with household names like Rachel’s, Munch Bunch, Ski, Aero, Rolo and Milkybar. The Company manufactures and supplies both branded and own label products into Europe’s major grocery multiples from factories across Europe.
The Quality Team of 4 is based in the Redhill office with around 50 employees in total, spanning across Sales, Category, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Development & Quality
*The position will be based in Redhill, however, we do have a flexible working policy which enables a hybrid working arrangement whereby up to 2 days per week can be worked from home, where business needs allow.
The Role
We are looking for a temporary Quality Manager to cover maternity leave to begin as soon as possible, for a period which is expected to last until approximately the end of February 2026 (this date is subject to change, depending on the return to work plans of the individual who will be on maternity leave).
Reporting to the Development & Quality Director, the successful candidate will act as a key interface between the UK retailers and the manufacturing sites; focusing primarily on customer own-label products.
Bi-lingual French and English skills are essential for this role.
Main Purpose of Job
- Ensuring the level of customer service is consistently met and that relationships with our supplying factories are maintained and strengthened.
- The role is customer focussed with the aim of supporting the Quality Team to understand customer specific needs and tailoring the service appropriately.
Main Responsibilities & Key Requirements
- The successful applicant will be an effective communicator who has the ability to solve problems, manage multiple stakeholders and have the ability to move things forward and improve standards and introduce new ways of working
- A degree in Food Science or equivalent experience is essential, as are the skills of being data rational, detail conscious and in possession of good IT skills
- Strong English & French bi-lingual skills are required, both verbal and written, in order to facilitate ease of communication with our colleagues based both in the UK and in our factories in France.
- As a self-starter and ‘champion’ in their field, the successful candidate will be enthusiastic and provide expert support and assistance to the business
- Responsibility for answering queries from colleagues, and alongside this, the ability to provide scientific expertise in responding to internal and external food and quality issues, large or small, that may arise, as well as deputising for the Development & Quality Director in their absence.
- Proven track record of successful project management, working cross functionally with multiple stakeholders to ensure all deadlines are achieved
- Highly developed organisation skills, with the ability to work quickly and accurately under the pressure of managing multiple projects at the same time
- Highly detail conscious and process-driven individual who is not phased when facing challenging situations of all kinds – calm and collected under pressure
There is a significant amount of both national and international travel therefore, applicants must be flexible to spend time away from home on a regular basis when required.
