Procurement Manager/ Category Lead

Vertical Advantage Procurement and Supply Chain are partnering exclusively with a Global Blue chip FMCG organisation based in London.

Our Client is looking for a Category Lead/Procurement Manager to manage all-commercial categories across UK and Europe. The role is reporting into the Head Of Procurement and the successful person will be working closely to identify new procurement opportunities and create/maintain collaborative relationships with stakeholders whilst advising on ways to add tangible value to their objectives and business contribution.

Key responsibilities of the role:

Strategy:

• Risk management and support any Category transformation.
• Build KPIs and SLA for key suppliers.
• Source new opportunities and support stakeholders.

Supplier:

• Screening & Analysis supplier base with a key focus on the medium to large suppliers.
• complex negotiations lead and commercial support with key stakeholders.
• Performance Assessment overview with suppliers.
• Category lead on any new negotiations.

Category:

• Analysis current Marketing/Commercial spend and source new opportunities.
• Market information and communicate with Management team.
• Design cost model.      

This is a key appointment for the business, so the successful candidate will need to come from a commercial Procurement background within an indirect Procurement structure. They will need to have the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders/managers and be looking for an opportunity that has a senior career development plan.
