The Role:
Ecommerce is poised to be a major growth driver in the UK food & beverage market. Over the next five years, online sales are expected to become the largest growth contributor to both the category and our business. To capitalize on this opportunity, we have created a new role focused on implementing our online strategy within the grocery channel. As the Online National Account Manager, you will be responsible for executing this strategy with our Top 4 retailers online. You will work closely with our account teams to ensure a seamless omnichannel approach for our customers. Reporting to the Ecommerce Controller, you will be part of the Ecommerce Team within the broader Sales function, and collaborate with our Top 4 customer teams to align both online and in-store strategies.
Primary Goals and Objectives
- Deliver our online strategy across the Top 4 retailers in collaboration with the Ecommerce Controller.
- Drive profitable growth for both our company and our Top 4 retailers, with a focus on increasing online market share.
- Develop and implement an online Joint Business Plan with the Top 4 retailers.
- Optimize product listings and overall online presence in partnership with the Top 4 retailers.
- Lead the development of our online value creation strategy and roadmap for online grocery.
- Serve as the main point of contact for customers, providing expertise in online strategy and execution.
- Align and integrate online execution plans with in-store strategies.
- Measure and analyse online media activity to ensure strong ROI.
- Work with Digital Marketing and agencies (e.g., Havas) to execute sponsored search campaigns to drive visibility and sales.
- Manage CASA KPIs across the Top 4 accounts to ensure effective online execution.
Required Experience and Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- 3-5 years of experience in FMCG account management
- Experience in online account management
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to self-start
- Proven ability to build new relationships and partnerships
- Strong relationship-building skills
- Effective communicator capable of engaging stakeholders
- Experience in delivering a Joint Business Plan (JBP)
- Familiarity with retailer systems such as DH
- Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint
