Our client, a leading spirits manufacturing company are looking for a multi talented Finance Business Partner to join their dynamic finance team.

Purpose of the role:
To support the Financial Controller and Managing Director on a strategic level in order to drive the business forward. The Finance Business Partner will be reporting directly into the Financial Controller and working cross functionally with the Sales, Logistics and IT departments and will furthermore be the custodian of financial strategy within the business.

Responsibilities:
Billing / Accounting:

  • Supervise Sales Ledger, ensuring accuracy in raising invoices, debits, and credits across all entities. Analyse aged debtors and enforce credit control measures.
  • Collaborate with Management Accountant for timely VAT reporting across multiple jurisdictions. Support Financial Controller in budgeting and forecasting, focusing on revenue projections.
  • Liaise with Purchase Ledger and Logistics to minimize Demurrage Costs. Analyse monthly overheads, report to FC. Manage Aged Creditors and reconcile invoices.

Business Partnering:

  • Collaborate with Logistics and Finance for accurate Stock Accounting. Meet Sales and Operations to optimize Warehouse Management.
  • Use data analytics for cost reduction and profit increase. Analyse Sales and Demurrage Cost Reports, providing management reporting and commentary.
  • Identify process improvements and offer ad-hoc support.

System Project Implementation:

  • Lead new system implementation for stock and finance. Manage ERP system’s daily operations.
  • Drive improvements, including transitioning to Microsoft Office 365 and Oracle Netsuite. Work with IT management for system upgrades.
  • Build relationships across departments, lead project delivery, and ensure effective project management.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working within foreign exchange environments and conversions between imperial and metric units
  • Familiarity and confidence working within the manufacturing industry with exposure to logistical practices
  • Strong experience in systems implementation and maintenance
  • Financial modelling skills during transformation periods within businesses will be highly advantageous
  • Only candidates who have experience within the manufacturing industry will be considered
  • The Finance Business Partner must have 3 years experience in a similar setting and be in pursuit of a professional accounting qualification
