An opportunity has arisen for a Demand Planner to join an International Drinks business in West London on a 6-month contract. The business has experienced good volumes and have put in a real focus on the supply chain team.
The Business
Boasting a strong portfolio with well-known brands, this business is widely regarded as one of the market leaders in the industry. They operate both globally and within the UK with a solid structure and good processes in place.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for creating and maintaining the demand forecasts for the business. You will also be heavily involved in S&OP meetings. Regularly keeping in touch and updating retailer customers on forecasts is also expected of you.
Responsibilities include:
- Reviewing forecasts and adjusting where necessary.
- Working with the commercial team to collaboratively forecast future sales.
- Reviewing NPD projects on performance vs forecast.
- Ensuring specific allocations are executed correctly by working cross functionally.
The Person
As with most roles the ideal candidate will have a perfect blend of technical and personal skills with this one being no different.
The ideal candidate will have the below:
- Strong analytical and numerical skills – you will be comfortable managing large sets of data and working on Excel.
- Personable character as you’ll be working cross-functionally internally and with external customers.
- Experience of demand planning / sales forecasting within the FMCG industry essential (drinks even better).
- Systems experience desirable.
- Ability to keep cool under pressure (Christmas period is coming up).
