My client is a multinational food and drink enterprise providing consumers with deliciously popular dairy products loved globally. Working within the sales team, this is a fantastic opportunity for a Category Manager looking to develop their career within a well highly successful and establised business. The ideal candidate will have had experience within a food or beverages enterprise and successful track record of delivering effective category strategy plans for the growth of sales.
Duties
- Developing a relationship with and presenting unbiased category insight and recommendations to our retail partners that will influence their decision making and help grow the category
- Working closely with the Brand teams to develop strong insight-led NPD propositions and category, shopper & consumer centric trade presentations
- Develop the strategic promotional guidelines and provide the support to enable our commercial teams to implement these with the trade
- Provide the supporting rationales to maximise our range and distribution opportunitie
- Own and drive the business Category Strategy/Plans within the customer brief
- Work with the Account Team and directly with the relevant customer contacts to understand the key priorities
- Review Merchandising to understand the range changes and develop an action plan
- Capitalise on opportunities to grow business distribution/space and improve merchandising
- Support the Private Label team to win business through identification of opportunities to ensure growth, and support the product proposals
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years within Category MAnagement position (Food or Beverages)
- Degree level 2:1 or above
- Experience in FMCG/data sources e.g. IRI/KANTAR & Space Planning
- Excellent IT skills, especially Microsoft Excel & Powerpoint
