Category Executive

My client is a leading FMCG business looking for a Category Executive on a FTC for 9 – 12 months MAT cover.

This is a great opportunity to work within a leading FMCG business.

In this role you will be providing actionable insights to unlock category growth and facilitate arguments that deliver budget in the Category.

You will be reporting to the Category Development lead, and handling an account with a leading retailer, handling customer suppliers and agencies too.

You will be responsible for providing top quality actionable insights, championing category strategy and driving shopper and consumer thinking collaboratively with customers.

You will provide insight and drive the future direction on the business, providing expert market analysis to support brand and commercial targets. You will embed category strategy in brand and customer initiatives applying shopper/ consumer thinking into ranging, listing and recommendations.

You will contribute to the subcategory financial and strategic objectives within the monthly integrated business plan, and support listing and defence rationales for ranges representing both commercial and customer perspectives.

The Category Executive will be responsible for communicating various implementations of the category strategy based upon current shopper, customer and category insight. This will involve managing range review projects, developing optimum range.
