My client is a leading FMCG business looking for a Category Executive to develop and deliver customer and category centric rationales contributing to business growth.
In this role you will be providing actionable insights to unlock category growth and facilitate arguments that deliver budget in the Category.
You will be reporting to the Category Strategy Manager and working with the commercial team, the marketing team and the senior management team.
Externally, you will handle retailers, customer, suppliers and agencies.
The team objectives will be to be known by retailers as knowledge leaders in the Category, based on the quality of insight, championing category strategy and driving shopper and consumer thinking collaboratively with customers.
You will provide insight and drive the future direction on the business, providing expert market analysis to support brand and commercial targets. You will embed category strategy in brand and customer initiatives applying shopper/ consumer thinking into ranging, listing and recommendations.
You will become a subcategory expert, owning insight and category strategy and supporting budget delivery. You will contribute to the subcategory financial and strategic objectives within the monthly integrated business plan, and support listing and defence rationales for ranges across all subcategories and representing both commercial and customer perspectives.
The Category Executive will be responsible for communicating various implementations of the category strategy based upon current shopper, customer and category insight. This will involve managing range review projects for selected customers across all subcategories, developing optimum range. You will be developing long-term trusted relationships with customers.
