My client is a bespoke category, shopper and sales specialist dedicated to helping FMCG businesses drive profitable growth to their brands. They transform data and research into actionable and reliable insights, and work within a collaborative and entrepreneurial environment.
They require a dynamic Category Manager from an FMCG background to help deliver best practices on behalf of their clients.
In this role you will be responsible for the delivery of high-quality outputs and demonstrate a positive working relationship with clients.
The Category Manaher will develop a network of cross functional contact within clients and gather business intelligence to enable the appropriate sell-on of additional services.
The Category Manager must have a strong understanding of UK grocery trade dynamics and be experienced using data and data systems, reporting the category data to allow a clear vision of the category dynamics, pulling insights from a range of data sources. You will be identifying and qualifying commercial growth opportunities from Insights.
Leading through insight, category initiatives and across channels you will develop base category sales within store formats, leading customer range reviews and planning projects which deliver ‘objective’ growth opportunities from customer to client. You will conduct promotional evaluations to support and shape promotional strategy and create meaningful, compelling sales propositions. You will input into the Category Vision process to ensure that strategies and tactics are relevant and aligned to the channel and customer.
You will act as a conduit between Brand Marketing and Account Management and build and manage relationships externally with marketing support agencies, data providers, distributors and buyers and merchandisers with key accounts.
This role is hybrid working with 2/3 days a week in the office
