Competitive advantage for the Customer Marketing Team will come from deeply understanding customers, competitors and shoppers; and objectively translating this into simple insight-based category and commercial propositions that differentiate the customer and unlock incremental volume.
They require a Category Controller to be accountable for the executuin of their vision for category growth in a focus customer(s) or channel.
The Challenge:
Successful execution of the Category Vision will result in them being seen as the category partner of choice with our customers and the optimisation of range, distribution, space, location, promotions and availability of the pladis portfolio in the marketplace
In this role you will be responsible for broadening their sphere of influence and building close working relationships with key internal and external customers through developing a detailed understanding of key contacts, their strategy, goals and calendar and using this undertanding to proactively seek opportunities to be Category. You will execute a 3-year vision of category growth and identify new ways to unlock consumption of the biscuits category. You will be a driver in bringing a plan to life in a way that inspires the focus customer(s).
You will develope and execute differentiated strategies and tactic for focus customer(s) that improve range, distribution, location, availability, promotions and space for the business; making the category easier and more enjoyable to shop. You will analyse the performance identifying risks and opportunities.
You wll convert insights into actions, analysis and reporting, building on continuous improvement and working closely with Brabd Marketing, Innovation and MS&P teams to insure that there is a clear categort, consumer, shopper and retailer rationale.
About You
For this role you will need proven experience and understanding of Category Management and Shopper Marketing Principles and execution, along with a robust understanding of the UK and retail trade across all channels and a proven experience in developing and executing merchandising and category recommendations across multiple channels. You will need proven experience with leading, developing and deploying 3 year category plans that deliver results. Excellent knowldge of Space Planning and Insights tools and data sets is required.
