Category Buyer – Indirect 12-month
The position reports to the Senior Category Buyer – Indirect and primarily involves managing procurement processes for Indirect Cost categories, including Marketing.
Key responsibilities include building relationships with stakeholders, analysing supplier spend data, supporting tendering processes, and managing contracts.
The role requires at least 3 years of procurement experience, strong communication and analytical skills, and proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.*
*Key Responsibilities:
**1. **Relationship Building:**
– Develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including Directors, Heads of Department, Senior Managers, and the Finance Director.
– Understand services provided by key suppliers within the assigned categories.
- **Data Analysis and Reporting:**
– Analyse supplier spend data and share insights with the Senior Category Buyer – Indirect and Department Heads.
– Produce an activity value report after 12 months for presentation to the wider business.
- **Stakeholder Collaboration:**
– Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and quantify supplier value.
– Support stakeholders in developing and implementing action plans.
- **Tendering and Contract Management:**
– Assist Category Leaders in tendering processes.
– Implement and manage contracts in coordination with Category Leaders.
– Profit growth related to category management.
**Skills and Qualifications:**
– Minimum of 3 years’ experience in procurement, preferably within Marketing.
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
– Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
– Negotiation experience.
