Vertical Advantage procurement are exclusively representing an international FMCG business to recruit a Category Manager, responsible for food categories across a number of manufacturing sites in the UK and Europe.
The role operates within a fast-moving result driven procurement team. Supporting the head of category and senior managment to implement the group operations strategy and support the different stakeholder groups.
Responsibilities:
- Develop & execute strategic sourcing plans aligned to business needs.
- Develop a network of supplier relationships that deliver value across quality, service, innovation, and cost.
- Provide and demonstrate high level Procurement and technical category expertise to drive the group sourcing.
- Identify, develop & maintain key Stakeholder relationships at all levels.
- Support Senior management in ensuring the procurement team delivering on-time & in-full.
- Manage category cost base in-line with budget.
- Provide financial reports & forecast to senior management for category awareness.
- Develop a vendor strategy for food suppliers across the supply chain.
Person spec
- Food category experience
- Creation and Implementation of a Sourcing Strategy.
- Experience in a procurement function.
- FMCG or manufacturing experience.
- Supplier and stakeholder management across multiple sites.
- Salary is up to £55k plus benefits.
