Buyer, Beers Wines Spirits (BWS)

Vertical Advantage are pleased to be partnering with a family run established Wholesale business to help find a skilled and motivated buyer to the our Beers, Wines, and Spirits (BWS) category team.

This role encompasses:

Supplier Management -Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to drive key business areas, including:
– Coordinating promotional activities
– Negotiating pricing and promotional funding
– Managing pricing and margin requirements
– Overseeing product range management
– Analyzing sales, supplier performance, and market trends

Order Fulfillment- Ensure optimal order placement across all depots using strategic commercial insights to maximize availability and competitive pricing.
– Placing orders
– Managing stock levels
– Influencing suppliers to mitigate stock shortages

Administration – Complete essential administrative tasks with precision and timeliness, including:
– Reviewing promotional brochures for accuracy in imagery, pricing, and profit on return (POR)
– Tracking and claiming retrospective funds from suppliers for sponsored promotions
– Coordinating with depots and other internal teams on category-related matters
