We are looking for a business development manager who is consultative in their approach and can understand how to identify new clients with outside of the box thinking.
Although there is a database, we are looking for someone who has the drive and commercial acumen to identify new strategic customers and work on onboarding them into the business. This is a long sales cycle so rewards & bonuses are not based on ‘sales’ but on progress with target accounts and customers you are identifying. Often penetration in the accounts will build over time once the customer can see the value that is being added, so we need someone who understands this and can gradually move customers along.
Based in Old Street with travel to customers.

Reporting into the Head of Sales, this Business Development Manager will be a creative, innovative and data drive candidate who can help this company achieve their ambitious growth goals by developing long term partnerships with strategic customers.
There is no “one size fits all” solution with this product range, so you will need to have the mental agility to be able to come up with inventive solutions for your potential customer base and show the long term benefits of this. This is a very consultative sales process and a long sales cycle so you must be comfortable with this and able to demonstrate experience with “needs-based” selling.
Previous BDMs have come from all sorts of industries such as recruitment, SaaS, FMCG and automotive – so as long as you have the aptitude and attitude – the sector is not important.
You will need to be ambitious and want to constantly learn and challenge yourself – as this company continues to grow they need people who can grow with it and take on more responsibility.
What’s on offer
Up to £45 000 basic salary, realistic OTE is £70 000 but this is uncapped.
