The company are one of the world’s biggest dairy companies, owning some of the best-known households brands in the category.

 

They are searching for a Business Development Manager to step in the Foodservice and Out of Home team to develop new business in order to drive the delivery of the channel strategy and objectives to achieve revenue, profit & cash flow targets, and proactively understand and meet the requirements and concerns of customers and deliver a service to meet those needs.

 

This role provides an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to step into a challenging position which we’ll be split between business development and account management.

 

Responsibilities:

Business Development:

  • Identify category gaps and seek out new opportunities within previously unexplored channel targets
  • Drive sales and cash margin targets by opening new accounts in-line with channel sales strategy
  • Win and retain profitable new business
  • Maintain a sufficient number of new prospect and pipeline opportunities to ensure sales targets are achieved.
  • Work with the development chef to engage with menu development and NPD teams to demonstrate the functionality of the products

Account Management:

  • Maintain Customer relationships to help build relationships and drive the continuous improvement
  • Deliver Company budgets for volume and profit across account portfolio.
  • Present weekly and monthly sales reports
  • Maintain regular contact with customers at all levels to ensure high standards of the company are met
  • Assist in preparation of customer budgets and subsequent forecasting

 

Essential skills/experience:

  • Experience in Business Development in the FMCG industry
  • Ability to show commercial instincts
  • Ability to analyse and evaluate data
  • Good proficiency using Microsoft Excel/PowerPoint
  • Good Verbal and Written skills
  • Ability to meet financial targets

 

This is a Hybrid role, with 3 days of working in the office
