Position Overview
As a Raw Material Planner, you’ll play a crucial role in optimising supply chain efficiency for a fast-paced FMCG organisation. You’ll manage material requirements planning and inventory levels to ensure production runs smoothly whilst minimising waste. This position directly impacts the company’s ability to meet demand across multiple markets, working with a complex product portfolio and collaborating across departments to drive continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Generate accurate material requirements plans using MRP/ERP systems to support production schedules
- Manage inventory levels strategically to balance stock availability with waste reduction
- Collaborate with suppliers to secure timely deliveries and refine forecasts using historical data
- Analyse production and supplier performance, identifying trends and reporting findings to management
- Identify and implement process improvements within the supply chain to enhance efficiency
- Support demand forecasting activities across the product portfolio
- Work with cross-functional teams to resolve supply chain challenges and optimise operations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- Proven experience as an MRP Planner or in a similar supply planning role within FMCG
- Proficiency in MRP/ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle
- Knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma principles
- Strong analytical skills and demand forecasting expertise
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with complex product portfolios
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis and reporting
