About the Business
Thought I’d start off with a cheesy joke about food, but I’d hold off as it wasn’t a big dill. As you can imagine, this business are leaders in the food industry and are more of a serious outfit than my joke suggests. They operate globally and their brands are widely popular.
This is a 12-15-month FTC to cover a maternity. However, there is scope to be made permanent and training will take place as if you are joining on a permanent basis.
The role itself is supply planning, so ensuring the factories are producing the correct amount of stock based on demands.
Key responsibilities highlighted below:
- Creating supply plans to meet demands of retail customers.
- Building relationships with suppliers internationally to ensure smooth process of supply into the UK.
- Constantly analysing and adapting supply plans daily/weekly/monthly based on trends, data etc.
- Maintaining business standards for all tasks.
Experience of supply planning within the FMCG industry is essential. As a planner, you will of course need to have an analytical mindset and proven record of high planning accuracy.
If you could speak a European language then that would be advantageous (French, German, Spanish).
