The RoleA global food manufacturer is looking for a National Account Manager to look after one of their grocery accounts whilst the permanent incumbent is on maternity leave. This long-term day rate doesn't start until March and so can provide continuation of interim work for the right individual.
This account for the client is the 2nd biggest P&L and they have a very healthy relationship with them with sole supply within the category. You will have ownership of a fairly robust P&L and will be responsible for all JBP and ongoing relationships.
The organisation has both regional and global structures and most of the team work in a matrix structure across regions. There is a quite a strong analytical bent to this role as the organisation works from a solid financial viewpoint.
The team are relatively inexperienced and this would be a great role for someone to come in and help coach and develop. The client is looking for someone who likes to challenge the status quo and question why things are done certain ways.
The PersonTo be successful in this role it is essential that you have the following experience:
-Strong sales experience from FMCG food and you must have worked with the big 4 supermarkets
-Excellent analytical skills
-Previous experience of pulling together complex JBPs
-Good stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to work with international colleagues
-Experience of working in matrix structures
-Good relationship building skills
-Some coaching experience would be useful.
